What We See the Same Day
If you feel that you need to see a dentist immediately, text or call our office. We specialize in emergency treatment and pain relief, and if you are in pain and cannot wait, we will do everything we can to see you right away. Advice is always free.
Toothache or throbbing pain
Constant pain usually means deep decay or an infected nerve. Painkillers mask it; we treat the cause and get you comfortable the same day.
Chipped, cracked or broken tooth
Small chips are bonded at the visit. Larger breaks get a CEREC crown designed and milled in our office, often the same day.
Knocked-out or loose tooth
Hold it by the crown, keep it in milk, and call us. Within 30 minutes gives the best chance of saving it.
Swelling, abscess or infection
A swollen face or gum is a red flag. We drain the infection, prescribe what is needed and protect the tooth.
Lost filling or crown
Never try to reattach it yourself. We can often re-cement your restoration or make a new one in one visit.
Bleeding that will not stop
After an extraction or an injury, bite on clean gauze and come straight in. We stop the bleeding and check for anything deeper.

Turns out I had a badly infected tooth, (not detected by my previous dentist) which he mitigated immediately. Then I had a broken tooth (again mitigated the next day). After breaking a tooth on a bottom molar just prior to the Xmas holidays and fearing pain during said holidays, I called the office and was able to get a short appointment the next day for the dentist to take a look and figure out what the plan was moving forward and take me out of pain at the same right away. The very next day I was in the chair for close to 3 hours as it was determined the previous day that I required a root canal and then a crown on top of the RC to save the tooth. I would like to thank Dr Mahmood and Mona on the chair for their first class bedside manner resulting in a comfortable visit despite the length of time I was in the chair. Thank you very much also to Shelley as she was able to get me in on very short notice.

What does the $79 urgent dental visit include?
An exam of the problem area, the X-rays needed to see what is going on, and a diagnosis with your treatment options explained. If you go ahead with treatment, the $79 is applied toward it.

What counts as a dental emergency?
Anything that hurts, bleeds, or has broken: a toothache, a swollen face, a broken, chipped or loose tooth, a lost filling or crown, a knocked-out tooth, or bleeding that will not stop after an extraction.
If a tooth is knocked out
- Pick it up by the crown, never the root.
- Keep it moist in milk or your own saliva.
- Call us immediately. Getting to the dentist within 30 minutes gives the best chance of saving the tooth.
Can you fix a chipped or broken tooth in one visit?
Often, yes. Small chips are usually repaired with bonding at the same visit. A larger break may need a crown, and because we design and mill CEREC crowns in the office, many crowns are finished the same day without a temporary or a second appointment.
I am nervous about the dentist. Can you help?
Yes. Our dentists offer laughing gas, oral sedation and, for suitable patients, IV sedation. Tell us when you book and we will plan your visit around it.
Do you accept insurance for an emergency visit?
We accept private dental insurance and bill directly where your plan allows it, and we are enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Bring your card and we will check your coverage before treatment.
